Engineering Services were provided for the Shoreline Wetland Restoration included construction of 3 acres of shoreline wetland habitat. Living Waters Consultants, Inc. provided Geomorphic Evaluations, Wetland Engineering Plans, Details, Specifications, Permitting, Bidding, Cost Estimates, Construction Observation, Monitoring and Maintenance Observation. A Conservation 2000 Grant was awarded for this project. Benefits include habitat enhancement, shoreline erosion control, water quality improvement, and educational opportunities. Shorebirds, terns, cormorants, and a migrant Bald Eagle have been observed at the Project Site. Target wildlife species include Sandhill Crane which may continue to use the Site for breeding and rearing purposes. Living Waters Consultants observed construction by Earthwerks.
