Lyman Woods Headwaters Ravine, Bluff & Riparian Restoration Project
Comprehensive Engineering Services performed for the Lyman Woods Headwaters Restoration Project included natural channel design for 1,800 linear feet of stream channel with 35 acres of riparian restoration. LWC provided Fluvial Geomorphic Evaluations, Stream Restoration Design Plans, Details, Specifications, Cost Estimates, and Construction Observation, as well as assistance with Permitting, Bid Documents, Contractor Selection, and Maintenance Inspection services. Project Management, Riparian and Wetland Restoration, and Plan development was provided by Planning Resources, Inc. Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses were provided by Patrick Engineering, Inc. with review by LWC. LWC observed construction by Conservation Land Stewardship. Unique stream restoration techniques included restoration of the degraded channel profile, incorporation of large woody debris for aquatic habitat diversity, protection of large oak trees, and protection of threatened and endangered wetland plant species.
